The Swindon Town Supporters Club will be hosting a charity event in support of the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation featuring club legends at Melksham Town on Wednesday.

The OSC is putting on the free event on Wednesday 27th September, which will feature guests with over 300 combined appearances for Town in Paul Bodin and Phil King.

The event will also have food available and a sale of books and match programmes for people to enjoy.

Everyone is welcome and it will begin at 7.30 pm at Melksham Town Football Club.

The event is raising money in aid of the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation, which was co-founded by former Swindon Town loanee and Charlton Athletic penalty hero, Stephen Darby, who is living with MND.

Motor neurone disease is a condition that impacts the nerves in the brain and spinal cord, affecting a person’s arms and legs, resulting in the need for a wheelchair and the loss of the ability to do normal things like wash, feed, and dress yourself.

The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation creates awareness of the condition, helps to fund research with the ultimate goal of finding a cure, raises funds and offers grants to those living with MND, and also creates a network to help provide information and emotional support.
