THE Bristol Avon hosted Sunday’s Chippenham match where Alex Hyde, from Chippenham, carried off top prize with 11 lb 7 oz of chub and roach.
Tony Scott, from Trowbridge, was runner up with 10 lb 2 oz of chub and roach, followed by Gary Dodson, from Calne, with 9 lb 14 oz.
Other placings: 4. Kevin Williams Chippenham 8 lb 10 oz; 5. John Bohane Swindon 8 lb 3 oz; 6. Gary Etheridge Devizes 7 lb 1 oz.
SUNDAY’S Wilts Angling Open match at Shearwater was won by Steve Lovell with 85 lb 9 oz of bream.
Rob Kepner, from Melksham, was next with 83 lb 10 oz of bream, with Steve Hutchinson, from Colerne, third with 56 lb 4 oz of bream.
Other placings: 4. Kevin Rowles Devizes 55 lb 3 oz; 5. Richard Brimble Westbury 33 lb 4 oz; 6. Steve Saunders Melksham 21 lb 9 oz.
ENTRIES for the Clubman Supercup, a team knockout event organised by Angling Times, are being taken.
