MARLBOROUGH recorded a second successive big win with an emphatic triumph over Calne.

Chris Budgen and Kevin Clancy’s side continued from where they left off the previous week, this time running in 13 tries and kicking 10 conversions.

The tries came at regular intervals and again featured a hat-trick by scrum half turned winger Will Grant. Jamie Cresswell, Jonnie Mantle and Jack Lynd each bagged two scores apiece, while Laurence Baker. Bruce Vuentatoka and Patch Campbell were also on the scoresheet.

Nathan Morgan booted seven conversions, with Vuentatoka adding three.

MARLBOROUGH’S Alfreds Nomads are edging closer to their first win after a narrow 22-19 defeat to Minety 2nd in Dorset & Wilts Three North, the match finishing early due to an ankle injury to Nomads skipper Howard Wilkinson.
