Television personality Jeremy Clarkson has dismissed claims he is endorsing a digital form of payment with a former colleague.

The star of Clarkson's Farm on Amazon Prime has hit back at claims he has a link to cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrency is a digitised currency, which is an alternative form of payment created using algorithms.

Mr Clarkson publicly posted on social media to put the record straight after claims he and former Top Gear presenter James May are involved with the currency.

It comes as PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has sent a letter to Mr Clarkson urging him to "stop telling porky pies about how bacon, ham, and sausages are really made".
