A VAUXHALL Corsa was stolen by thieves who got the keys for it during a Swindon burglary.

A house in Whitworth Road was broken into between about 8.25am and 2pm on Thursday, September 29, and the keys were among the haul.

The Corsa - which was parked outside - was then stolen.

It was later found by police in the Blunsdon area and seized for forensic analysis.

Other items stolen during the burglary include an X-Box, computer games, alcohol, Apple television, chargers and aftershave.

PC Paul Davis said: "We are carrying out an extensive investigation into this incident and would like to appeal to anyone who was in the Whitworth Road area during this time, who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity.

"This is a busy road and this incident happened in broad daylight. I am in no doubt that there would have been people walking or driving past the area at the time of this incident and I would like to speak to them.

"This has understandably been a distressing incident for those involved and any information you have may help us with our investigation."

Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
