DRIVERS using the A361 in Trowbridge this morning may be surprised to find that only a section of the mile-long stretch of road has been resurfaced.
The work, which caused traffic mayhem all week, was closed to all traffic from 7am-7pm from Monday for resurfacing, after Wiltshire Council received numerous complaints about the road surface.
But after it reopened to motorists yesterday evening, drivers have found that only a fifth of the distance has been resurfaced, with patches of work completed in between.
One driver, who didn't wish to be named, said: "After all we've had to put up with this week, it is disappointing to see that only a section has been resurfaced.
"It makes you wonder whether they are going to close it again to do the rest."
Wiltshire Council have been approached for a comment.
