CHARACTERS from Star Wars, Ghostbusters and Despicable Me will help bring the Great Western Brick Show to life at the STEAM Museum this weekend.

Organised by STEAM and Lego fans from the Brickish Association, the show includes an array of innovative displays and inventions made entirely of the Lego bricks.

Most of the creations are going on display for the first time and details of most of the models are being kept under wraps for the show.

Martin Long, president of the Brickish Association and co-organiser of the show, said: “I can reveal one of the surprises will be Ed Diment’s RMS Queen Mary ocean liner – it is a case of seeing is believing.

“Our aim is to inspire children and Lego fans of all ages to get building.

“We have some great competitions too.”

The event is the STEAM Museum’s largest annual event, with more than 8,000 visitors attending last year.

It is open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday and tickets are availablen from Swindontickets.co.uk.

Tickets on the day cost £8.50 for children aged 16 and under; £8.50 for concessions and £10 for adults. Visit www.greatwesternbrickshow.com
