PEOPLE from a range of backgrounds took part in a special taster session showcasing how horses can help people understand non-verbal communication.
Equine facilitated coaching, which helps people utilise horses to better understand body language and how they communicate non-verbally, was on show at Wickstead Farm Equestrian Centre yesterday.
There was a good turn out to the session, which aimed to coach people through working with horses.
Graham Dawson, an equine facilitator coach at the centre, said: “Horses are very sensitive creatures and they pick up on a lot of emotional energies and because they are animals they rely a lot on non verbal communication.
“By the end of the day we had people working with the horses and guiding them through obstacle courses without a guide rope.
“It went brilliantly and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves.”
